Project Updates:
Another Key Playhouse Milestone – Review by the City of Miami Historic and Environmental Preservation Board - Tuesday, April 4, 3 PM
Based on the masterplan shared with the public in December 2016, work by the design team led by Arquitectonica and historic preservation architect Jorge Hernandez has proceeded on the Coconut Grove Playhouse. On April 4, 2017, the City of Miami Historic and Environmental Preservation Board (HEPB) is scheduled to review the Playhouse plans. Miami-Dade County and its partner Florida International University are requesting that the HEPB issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for the project.
The public is encouraged to attend this important meeting:

We are excited by the progress being made on the Playhouse project and by the prospect of having GableStage return great theater to this historic site. We also are grateful for the time and thoughtfulness of the City’s staff and HEPB members in reviewing the project, taking site tours of the Playhouse property and providing oversight for the essential historic preservation goals set for this project.
Materials submitted for the HEPB’s review can be accessed here.
