Hurricane season is June 1 through November 30, 2025. Now more than ever, it is important to review your hurricane preparedness plan to adapt quickly to a weather emergency. Below you will find important resources and information to help you take the necessary steps to be prepared before, during, and after a storm.

The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs has released guidelines and deadline schedules for the fiscal year 2025-2026 fall cycle of arts and cultural grants programs available to Miami-Dade County based non-profit cultural groups. Guidelines containing information regarding eligibility requirements, funding requests and program criteria can be downloaded at www.miamidadearts.org by clicking GRANTS / GRANTS FOR ORGANIZATIONS.

Miami-Dade County, in collaboration with the City of Miami, has taken swift action to stabilize and secure the Coconut Grove Playhouse site following a temporary pause in the project’s Phase 1 construction in the revitalization of this cherished cultural treasure. Immediate actions and protective measures to shore up the structure, ensure safety and preserve historic elements were put in place. The exterior of the building has been stabilized, inspected by the engineer, and reviewed by the City of Miami.

In coordination with the City of Miami, both north and southbound travel lanes on Main Highway in Coconut Grove have been reopened today. Charles Avenue will remain closed until further notice as Miami-Dade County continues construction at the Coconut Grove Playhouse. Pérez CreARTE will invest $5 million to expand access to the arts

The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation's CreARTE Grant Program is now open for applications through June 13. The Pérez Family Foundation will invest $5 million in Miami-Dade arts organizations working to cultivate an equitable arts community by expanding residents’ access to the arts and making our city a global hub for artistic excellence.

Through Pérez CreARTE, the Foundation will award grants in three main areas of focus:
