How Do Cultural Organizations/ Arts Partners Participate?

Are you a cultural organization interested in participating in the Golden Ticket program? It is easy to join and reach out to Miami-Dade County older adults. Submit an event to participate in the program. Click here to submit your organization's event for the Golden Ticket Arts Guide. Events should take place between November 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 and will be listed as an online offer.

How Does the Program Work?

The Golden Ticket Senior Arts Guide is produced annually. Organizations that wish to participate in the 2024 Golden Ticket Arts Guide set aside an allotment of “tickets” to donate to the program for seniors or senior centers to use on a first come, first served basis. Seniors who secure a Golden Ticket are provided admission to the listed functions or visit the venue free-of-charge.

Seniors and senior activity centers must call the box office or admission desk to make a reservation. Golden Ticket reservations are available to the public two weeks before an event. Participating organization set and track the number of Golden Ticket reservations per program/per day. Golden Tickets are provided to seniors on a first come, first served basis. On the day of the visit, seniors must clip out and present a Golden Ticket coupon at the organization's box office or admission desk with a photo ID confirming they meet program criteria of Miami-Dade County residency and at least 62 years of age to receive free admission. Each Golden Ticket coupon is good for one senior admission.

How Do I Submit My Organization’s Event Information?

Access the Golden Ticket Arts Guide event submission form here. Events should take place between November 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024, for inclusion in the publication. Last minutes offers can be included for inclusion via the Department of Cultural Affairs website only.

What Are the Program Benefits for Arts Partners?

The Golden Ticket Senior Arts Guide is a popular outreach promotional opportunity, and it is highly visible in Miami-Dade County. Organizations receive compensation based on the number of Golden Tickets redeemed and submitted to the Department of Cultural Affairs for processing.

  • Events that are normally free and open to the public are compensated at the rate of $1 per Golden Ticket.
  • Events that have a cost of $5 or more to attend, organization are compensated at the rate of $5 per Golden Ticket.

What Types of Events Can Be Listed in the Golden Ticket Arts Guide?

  • Multi-day festivals and/or exhibitions,
  • Date-specific events and/or performances and
  • Museum/garden visits that are “on-going” throughout the year.
