Position Summary
The Education and Community Engagement Associate is a key operations role supporting the smooth planning and delivery of Nu Deco Ensemble’s youth ensemble, in-school programs, education concerts, and community initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, systems-savvy team player who thrives on managing logistics, timelines, and communications. This person ensures Nu Deco’s education and community engagement programs are organized, efficient, and reflective of the ensemble’s vibrant, discovery-driven spirit.

Key Responsibilities
Program Operations & Logistics
● Manage registration forms, RSVPs, and attendance tracking for auditions, workshops, and concerts
● Coordinate transportation, catering, and other event logistics for education and community programs
● Maintain communication timelines and send clear, timely updates to students, families, educators, and partners
● Provide on-site operational support at rehearsals, concerts, and special events
Data & Reporting
● Track program data, including musician hours, student participation, and survey feedback
● Ensure accurate credits in printed and digital materials
● Collaborate with the Development team on program-related communications and reporting
Program-Specific Responsibilities
● NXT (Youth Ensemble): Oversee operational needs for rehearsals, performances, and student/family communications
● Connected (In-School Programming): Serve as point of contact for school partners and provide occasional on-site support
● Imagination Concerts: Coordinate school and district participation, manage busing, assist with educational materials, and collect feedback
● Access: Manage logistics for Access participants, including transportation, accommodations, and on-site support

Qualifications
● 21+ Years of age
● At least two years of experience in program coordination, operations, or nonprofit administration
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms); Canva or design tools a plus
● Spanish language skills preferred
● Availability for occasional evenings and weekends
● Reliable personal transportation
● Applicants will have to complete a background check, paid by Nu Deco.
Compensation & Benefits
● Annual compensation: $40,000
