Tourist Development Council Grants Program (TDC)

A quarterly program which provides support to significant cultural and/or special events, including sports activities and television/film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination. Activities must be able to stimulate tourism and have significant media impact for Miami-Dade County.

Learn How to Apply for Cultural Grants Workshop

Are you looking for funding for your cultural project? Arts groups, cultural organizations, community nonprofit organizations, individual artists and artist collectives are invited to attend a free virtual workshop about Miami-Dade County's cultural grants programs. Learn how to apply for arts funding and which grants programs may be the right fit for your cultural project.

Cultural Affairs staff will provide information about the competitive funding opportunities for nonprofit arts groups and artists as well as other helpful resources available for the cultural community. RSVP here by July 20th by 5 PM.

Budget: $3,900,000.00

Eligibility: Open to professional visual artists based in the USA


Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program and the Miami-Dade Internal Services Department request qualifications from professional artists and/or artist teams to commission artworks for the new Civil and Probate Courthouse of Miami-Dade County. Knight New Work 2022 - Deadline August 29, 2022


Technology enables arts practitioners to develop new modes of expression, and to create works that immerse and reach broader audiences, ultimately strengthening community ties. Knight New Work 2022 is a call for proposals that will provide up to $500,000 to support South Florida-area artists of all genres who use technology in their practice to create, disseminate and enhance the way art is experienced.

Knight New Work 2022 is open to individual artists, collectives and art organizations. Applicants must be based in or have direct ties to South Florida; proposed works must premiere in South Florida and all works must incorporate technology. Proposals will be accepted through August 29 at 11:59 p.m. ET.  Apply here.

Miami Emerging Arts Leaders – Virtual Networking

Arts Leaders Assemble! Join the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders for a virtual, interactive networking session with opening remarks by Michael Spring, Director, Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.

Did you know Miami-Dade County is home to more than 40,000 cultural workers? Meet other young and/or new arts administrators and find out how to stay connected to Miami’s arts community.  Whether you are new to Miami’s art scene or are deeply-rooted in the 305’s cultural landscape, you are invited to introduce yourself and connect with other arts leaders, working in organizations large and small, of all disciplines.  All arts heroes welcome!

Participants are invited to join the Zoom meeting on camera (optional) therefore the use of computer equipment that has a working camera and microphone is recommended. Superhero cape optional.
