A quarterly program which provides support to significant cultural and/or special events, including sports activities and television/film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination. Activities must be able to stimulate tourism and have significant media impact for Miami-Dade County.

Miami Beach Visitors and Convention Authority
Tourism Advancement Program Second Period Projects
February 1, 2022 – May 31, 2022
The Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA) is currently accepting grant applications for special events, promotions, activities, and festivals which will stimulate tourism by increasing hotel occupancy and will have significant media impact for Miami Beach between February 1, 2022 and May 31, 2022 in the following categories:Development Opportunities, Major One Time Special Event, Special Events Recurring, Special Projects, and Special Projects Recurring. Eligibility into each grant category requires approval by the MBVCA Administrator.
Interested applicants must meet with MBVCA Administration by Friday, November 12, 2021.
Applicants must:

Submit Project Information and Required Grant Criteria for review by Friday, November 19, 2021, by 3:00 pm;
Submit Draft Application and Application Attachments by Friday, December 3, 2021, by 3:00 pm;
Submit the Final Completed Application to the MBVCA offices by Monday, December 13, 2021, by 12:00 pm.

Florida Department of State
African-American Cultural and Historical Grant
Deadline November 30, 2021
The Florida Department of State is soliciting grant applications for African-American Cultural and Historical resources. The purpose of this grant program is to provide funding for fixed capital outlay projects at facilities in Florida that highlight the contributions, culture, or history of African-Americans. Applicant Organizations may request up to $500,000 or up to $1,000,000 with 50 percent matching funds from other sources. There is no minimum request amount.
This funding was made possible by funding allocated from the legislature from the American Rescue Plan. To apply, visit dosgrants.com through November 30, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern).
Eligible Applicants must:
Be a public entity governed by a county, municipality, school district, community college, college, university, or an agency of state government; or a Non-profit Organization
Have ownership of the property for which grant funding is requested or have the written concurrence of the Property Owner. The owner must be a public entity or a Non-profit Organization. For the purposes of this program, an eligible Applicant Organization may lease state-owned land or building(s) or both.

South Arts
Southern Cultural Treasures Program
A Four-year Initiative to Support the South Arts Region’s BIPOC-led and -serving Arts and Culture Organizations
The Southern Cultural Treasures Program will support the long-term stability and resiliency of organizations that contribute to the history, culture, and vitality of the nine-state South Arts region. It is anticipated that the grant period will run between April 2022 until March 2025 and support 12 -15 organizations by providing each:
General operating grants of up to $300,000 distributed over three years
Project grants of up to $7,500
Support to achieve stabilization and growth, and
Networking, cohort building, and knowledge sharing

Future Art Awards
Ecosystem X - Arts-based Reimagining of Life on Planet Earth
How can artists help us vision the future by illustrating the principles, processes, or practices of a just world, where the complexities between living organisms, their physical environment, and all their interrelationships represent harmony, sustainability, justice, and freedom? Ecosystem X is an open call to artists across the country looking to express an aspirational vision of life on planet Earth. The awards will present 10 U.S. artists from across the country with a $5,000 cash prize and a showcase in a curated virtual exhibition. All U.S. artists welcome. All mediums welcome. 2021-2022 South Florida Cultural Consortium (SFCC) Grant
New Deadline: Monday, December 13, 2021
The South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant Program offers the largest regional, government-sponsored artists’ grants in the United States, awarding $15,000 and $7,500 grants to resident visual and media artists from the counties of Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach. Since it was established in 1988, the Consortium has awarded over to $4 million in grants to over 300 artists. In addition to receiving the grant, the artists take part in an exhibition hosted and organized by a visual arts institution in one of the five counties. See application details and guidelines.

The Children's Trust
New 5-Year Funding Cycle for Family and Neighborhood Support Partnerships and Trust Academy Agencies to be Released in February 2022
Do you provide wraparound care coordination services for children, youth and their families facing life challenges and/or with unique needs that limit them from reaching their full potential? Family and neighborhood support partnerships (FNSP) offer comprehensive and individualized supports that amplify strengths and build resilience.
Do you offer professional development supports like coaching, peer learning, live training or online courses for staff who serve children and families? The Trust is seeking experts in youth development, family services, inclusion of children with disabilities, oral health, organizational capacity, racial equity, diversity, and inclusion (REDI), and social-emotional wellness (SEW).
In February, The Children’s Trust will be looking for applicants for a new 5-year funding cycle that will start October 2022.
The FNSP request for proposals (RFP) and Trust Academy intent to negotiate (ITN) grant applications are scheduled to be released in February 2022. Join the networking and information sessions in November to learn more:

What does it mean to teach like a magician? How can you bring a little "magic" into your classroom? In this workshop, participants will explore MAGICIAN as an acronym, each letter representing a research-based practice that is vital for creating an environment conducive to learning.
