This is a quarterly program for non-profit organizations developing small to medium scale community-based cultural programs, projects and events, such as fairs, parades, neighborhood festivals, conferences and publications.

Tourist Development Council (TDC) - First Quarter FY2018-2019
This is a quarterly program which provides support to significant cultural and/or special events, including sports activities and television/film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination. Activities must be able to stimulate tourism and have significant media impact for Miami-Dade County.

GOLDEN TICKET SENIOR ARTS GUIDE

May is #OlderAmericansMonth! Honor seniors in our community and submit your events to be part of the upcoming 2018-19 Golden Ticket Senior Arts Guide, which provides free admission to cultural venues and performances to seniors who are 62 years of age and Miami-Dade County residents.

ANIMATION GETS REAL SUMMER CAMP
VSA Florida 2018 Summer Camp for teens with autism and related disabilities
June 18 – 22, 2018
Animation Gets Real is presented by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs All Kids Included Initiative in partnership with Miami-Dade Public Library System and VSA Florida.
Summer Camp for students ages 13-22 with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities who are able to follow instructions, independently communicate and participate in a group setting. Held at the North Dade Regional Library, 2455 NW 183 Street, Miami Gardens, FL 33056.

New funding opportunity: The Ellies, Miami’s Visual Arts Awards

ArtCenter/South Florida just announced it will be offering up to $500,000 to individual artists this year through The Ellies, Miami’s Visual Arts Awards. Most of the funding will go to project grants from $2,500 to $25,000. K-12 teachers are also eligible for travel grants. Information session on May 22. VSA FLORIDA WEBINARS
VSA Florida provides monthly webinars during the school year so that teaching artists, classroom teachers, cultural arts organizations and adult artists with disabilities can keep up-to-date on the latest information on the arts and disability. These webinars are provided free of charge; however, registration is required.
May: The Inclusive Art Room: Strategies for Success in Elementary Visual Art
Now more than ever, students receiving special education are being included in the general education art classroom. Are new and veteran art teachers prepared to meet the needs of ALL students? This webinar will provide a "crash course" in strategies for creating a successful inclusive elementary visual art class, with a focus on students with autism, sensory processing disorders, and ADHD.
Presenter: Susan Coll-Guedes, M.Ed., has over 15 years of experience teaching art in inclusive classrooms and is on the faculty of Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia where she teaches Special Education. She is certified in Art K-12, General Education and is trained as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant.

2018 FAAE ANNUAL SUMMIT
