Tourist Development Council (TDC) - Second Quarter FY2017-2018
This is a quarterly program which provides support to significant cultural and/or special events, including sports activities and television/film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination. Activities must be able to stimulate tourism and have significant media impact for Miami-Dade County.

17/18 SOUTH FLORIDA CULTURAL CONSORTIUM PROGRAM
The South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship Program offers the largest regional, government-sponsored artists’ grants in the United States, awarding $15,000 and $7,500 fellowships to resident visual and media artists from the counties of Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach. Since it was established in 1988, the Consortium has awarded close to $2 million in fellowships to over 200 artists. In addition to receiving the grant, the artists take part in an exhibition hosted and organized by a visual arts institution in one of the five counties.

2017-18 Tourism Advancement Program
First Period Projects
October 1, 2017 – January 31, 2018
The MBVCA is currently accepting grant applications for special events, promotions, activities and festivals which will stimulate tourism by increasing hotel occupancy and will have significant media impact for Miami Beach between October 1, 2017 and January 31, 2018 in the following categories: Initiatives, Major One Time Special Event, North Beach Incentive, Special Events Recurring, Special Projects, Special Projects Recurring, and Tourism Partnerships.
Please note: Eligibility into each grant category requires approval by the MBVCA Administrator.
Interested applicants must:
- Meet with MBVCA Administration by Friday, August 18, 2017
- Submit for review - project information & required grant criteria by Friday, August 25, 2017 by 3:00 pm.
- Submit Draft Application and Attachments by Friday, September 1, 2017 by 3:00 pm.
- Submit Final completed application to the MBVCA by Monday, September 11, 2017 by 12:00 pm.
Late or incomplete proposals will not be considered. The MBVCA reserves the right to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the City or to waive any informality in the proposal.
All proposals will be considered at the MBVCA Board meeting in September/October 2017. This meeting is open to the public.

NEW "GET READY" GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR ARTISTS
CERF+ announces new “Get Ready” Grants to help artists working in craft disciplines safeguard their studios and protect their careers. Up to 10 grants will be awarded on a competitive basis in two grant cycles to eligible artists towards the purchase of goods or services that will have a direct impact on increasing their emergency readiness. Deadline: August 15, 2017.

The leadership program is open to individuals 5 to 15 years into their professional career who both live and work in Miami-Dade.
