Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Humanities, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field. A minimum of two to four years of experience with cultural programs involving administrative responsibility for grants management, coordination of programs to develop youth audiences for the arts and/or familiarity with technology related to marketing cultural events is required.
Recruitment Notes
This position is responsible for the development, management, promotion and coordination of programs and projects in support of Miami-Dade’s complex and diverse cultural community. Incumbents in this position directs grants and/or fellowship programs (with complete responsibility for County program allocations ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to millions of dollars of public grant funds annually) and makes and implements proactive recommendations for improving program services to constituents (audiences, cultural organizations and artists) and for advancing the Department’s goals. The duties also include managing several ongoing cultural support program areas that advance the Department’s services to the cultural community, facilities development and management, and arts education, outreach and access.
