Pablo Rincon is a Construction Projects Manager in the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs – Art in Public Places division. With a background as a Mechanical Engineer and a Master in Acoustics, he has led several exciting projects in collaboration with various County departments including PortMiami, Aviation, Public Housing, and Jackson Health System. These projects involved public art commissions at the new Virgin Voyages Terminal, Carnival Cruise Line Terminal, as well as the public artwork at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s main lobby.
Pablo has a passion for art and music and is a classically trained musician and former clarinetist for the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, with which he toured the world’s most renowned concert halls. This served as the catalyst for him to lead the construction of the National Center for Music, an 11-story building in Caracas, Venezuela, completely dedicated to music which features a state-of-the-art Concert Hall with 1,200 seats and acoustically specialized features, as well as Jesus Soto’s last artwork and a Carlos Cruz Diez-designed theater foyer floor, seats, and main curtain.
Before joining the Department of Cultural Affairs, Pablo worked as a Construction Manager leading a design-build company focused on retail and mixed-use spaces at shopping centers and malls, completing more than 200 projects around Florida and the Mid-Atlantic. He was also part of the construction project management team for the 65-story, $250 million Brickell Flatiron building.
Pablo has a Master in Acoustics from Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona, Spain and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo in Valencia, Venezuela.
